Mayo Clinic Minute: Understanding chronic kidney disease

Chronic kidney disease is the gradual loss of kidney function. Some groups of people, including African-American, Native American and Asian-American are at higher risk of developing chronic kidney disease. Dr. LaTonya Hickson, a nephrologist at Mayo Clinic, helps us understand the disease during National Kidney Awareness Month.
