What Is The Magic Bullet for Losing and Maintaining Weight?
I have an article from ABC news to share.
It’s an “Oldie But Goodie.”
I saved it 15 years ago and as I read it today it is still spot on.
The National Weight Control Registry (NWCR) at the time of this article in 2004 had 5000+ members.
To be a member they had to have:
1). Lost more than 30 pounds of weight
2). And kept it off for over a year.
Now in the year 2020, they have over 10,000 members who maintain weight and the fundamentals and habits they employ haven’t changed. Fundamentals. Hard Work. Beliefs. They maintain.
The article has comments by the head of the NWCR discussing the long-term patterns and beliefs of the members.
Notably, there are several members who share what got them motivated to lose weight in the first place.
They Keep Journals: I do know the members mention in other articles the daily habit of keeping a journal as one of their primary tools to track weight, food, health, fitness, etc.

The article has an old link for the National Weight Control Registry. This is the correct link: http://www.nwcr.ws/
…Bonus: There are maintainers all over the world! I like to look up an article’s location and see places I have never seen or been to before.
I’m not going to do that this time because I came across another exceptional article that has before and after pictures of 197 people who lost significant amounts of weight!
Please Click Here to see some pretty remarkable transformations. Enjoy! TK. (05/07/20 – 21).
